SmartHealth Acquires PracticeWares
Phoenix, AZ, November 30, 2006 — SmartHealth, Inc, a privately held provider of healthcare products to office-based practitioners under the SmartPractice brand in the United States and Japan, announced today it has acquired PracticeWares, Inc., a privately held dental distribution business based in San Diego, California. This acquisition assures continuity of Dentsply products and programs to PracticeWares, Inc. customers in addition to significantly increasing SmartHealth’s dental marketshare in the United States. The merger transition commences immediately, with a target completion date set for mid-2007. Financial terms of the transaction were not released.
PracticeWares, Inc. is a national direct marketer and distributor of professional dental supplies. Similar to SmartPractice, PracticeWares markets products to dentists through direct marketing vehicles such as catalogs, the web and an inside marketing solutions organization. PracticeWares is committed to providing excellent customer care and top quality dental products at everyday low prices.
